We care for our colonies with a blend of innovative mechanical practices and all-natural techniques, right down to using fragrant, dried ginger leaves for our smoker. The result is honey of exceptional purity and flavor. Yes, it costs nearly twice as much as most premium artisan honeys, but every spoonful proves it’s worth the splurge. We do use integrated pest management practices following the recommendations and best practices for licensed apiaries.

About Barber Apiary
Apiary Registration# 48018752
Our apiary is a passion project, not a profit engine. We bottle and sell honey—and a few other bee-related goodies—under Florida’s Cottage Food laws. We’re happy to accept reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses on rescue jobs, but this venture is fueled by love, not money.
As my dad likes to joke, “If you add up every expense and divide by the jars you fill, that liquid gold runs about $500 a pound—before you even count your hours!” He’s not far off… and that’s just the nature of true artisan craftsmanship.
